Do you remember the last time you went into your kids rooms? For some they cant remember, and for others like me who have young kids- its a daily occurrence. As a mom of three girls, we have a lot of clothes, and a lot of things to store and hand down to the next one in line. Here are a few tips on how you can efficiently store those old clothes and shoes.
- Separate by how things fit versus only on size- sometimes sizes of things fit differently, so keeping things separated by how they actually fit will be very helpful when you pull them down for the next kid.
- Throw away anything that is worn down, stained, ripped, etc. only save things you can actually see yourself reusing. Make a keep, donate and trash pile to keep things organized.
- Store by season. Group winter things and summer things so that when seasons change, you’re not having to sort through everything to find what you are looking for.
- Store in clear plastic totes. This will allow for easy insight as to what is in the box. You can also use the storage function on PorchFile for this!
- Store shoes separately, and grouped in similar sizes.
- Label boxes clearly with size and season
